Good Morning 6s!

Tomorrow is national raisin day!  Do you like raisins?  Raisins are dried grapes, and are very good for your heart, your blood pressure, your eyes, your bones, and are just plain yummy!  Here’s a mosaic of recipes you can make with raisins. Even a raisin salad!  If you like raisins, you might want to check out the Cooking Challenge on the Home Learning Grid.

 

Teams

A few notes about Teams.  If you want to ask a teacher a question you need to type @ then your teacher’s name.  As soon as you start typing the name, choices will appear. Click on your teacher’s name.  If you do that, we will get notified of your question and respond back to you as soon as we are able.  If you don’t do that, we might not see your question.  Teams doesn’t send a notice if you just type our name without the @. If you look at the pic below, the red arrows show to type @ right in the message box and the menu that pops up when you use @.

Some of you had trouble uploading work.  Mr MacLean has put instructions on Teams for explaining how to upload your work.  The instructions are in the Files section (see green arrow in pic above) in the top menu.  Or you can click here to go to the document in Teams.

You are all making good use of the chat function in Teams. It is a great place to say Hi and to help each other out. Please remember, this is your classroom now. Your teachers and your head teachers can see all of your comments, so you should conduct yourself as you would in a Preston Street Classroom.

Home Learning

I’m so impressed by how many of you were able to get online.  It was nice to see you there!  Since you were so successful, we will go ahead and move to Teams now.  If you are having trouble getting onto the Teams site please email us at admin@prestonstreet.edin.sch.uk.
