Hello everyone! Welcome back after the summer holidays. P3/4 have had a fantastic start to the school year. They have been getting to know each other aswell as learning about the routines in p3/4.

We used the UN Conventions of the Rights of the Child to help us create our class charter. The children have had fun learning about growth mindset. We made super heros who have the power of ‘yet’ as we have been thinking about what we can’t do yet and the importance of being resilient.

In literacy we have started our school reading books and have been learning about nouns, verbs and adjectives and trying to use these in out writing. This week we have written an acrostic poem. We have also started learning different spelling patterns.

In maths the children have worked very hard when learning about the names and properties of 3D shapes.

This week the children were very excited to start our new topic of Ancient Eygpt. They discussed what they know already about this topic and what they would like to learn.
