Our girls’ football teams played their first matches of the new school year on Saturday morning at the Meadows. The girls will play six games between now and December, with some weeks being set aside for training as well. We started off with a P6-7 game v Tollcross, and a P4-5 game v James Gillespie’s. It was nice to meet other schools from within the James Gillespie’s High School cluster and both games were played in a great spirit.
Well done to everyone who represented the school, especially those who were doing so for the first time:
P4-5: Maddie, Megan, Amy, Annamaria, Rebecca, Audrey, Talia, Miriam, Madelyn
P6-7: Elysia, Bupilo, Anna, Sandra, Eryn, Seraphina, Yael, Lucy, Alexis, Tabitha
Many thanks to all our parent coaches and volunteers who help provide this valuable experience for our young people each week. We look forward to visiting Pilrig Park next week where our P4-5 and P6-7 groups will both meet their counterparts from Taobh na Pairc.
If your own child does not currently play football and would like to start, please get in touch with Mr MacLean directly or ask at the school office for details.

Taking a coaching break during our P4-5 game.
