Today’s story is Tabby McTat by Julia Donalson and Axel Scheffler.

Tabby McTat is a purrr-fectly happy busker’s cat, until one day he falls in love with Sock, a gorgeous green-eyed cat. When his busker friend Fred is hurt and taken away to hospital, Tabby can’t find him and misses him terribly. This is a heart-warming story of friendship, loyalty – and kittens!

Activity 2

Learn the song ‘Three Little Kittens’

Here are the words to this nursery rhyme:

Three little kittens,
They lost their mittens,
And they began to cry,
Oh, mother dear,
We sadly fear
Our mittens we have lost.
What! Lost your mittens,
You naughty kittens!
Then you shall have no pie.
Mee-ow, mee-ow, mee-ow, mee-ow
You shall have no pie.
