Well done to the 26 pupils who participated in the latest round of the Lothian Schools’ Cross Country League, which took place after school on Wednesday at Roseburn Park.

The presence of an enthusiastic crowd of parents and high school pupils, and the location in the shadows of Murrayfield Stadium, added  an air of extra excitement to proceedings.

We are proud of all our runners who showed great determination to complete the course. Congratulations in particular to Elysia P7B and Josh P5 who finished in the top ten of the girls’ and boys’ races for the second consecutive week.

Thanks to everyone from the various schools involved for putting the races on each week and allowing our young people this fantastic opportunity to participate in a large scale sporting event.

We look forward to a more local race next week as we visit Bruntsfield Links. The shorter travel distance will be balanced out by the presence of some very challenging hills!
