Happy Friday P6s!
Another beautiful day yesterday. Just the right amount of sunshine for some outdoor exercise. I was able to get a socially distanced run in. I hope you were able to enjoy some of the sunshine. And in honour of the sunshine, I thought I’d post some pics from the last time we did outdoor learning as a class. Thank you, Charlotte, for taking these.
And, we have a birthday today.

Happy Birthday, Sarah! I hope you are enjoying your day.
Maths from Miss Craig
Next week we are going to start delivering maths lessons a little differently. Mr Parkin and I will probably be with you every other week. We will explain more on Monday.
We are continuing to wrap up expressions and equations. So, you can choose to do one of the following:
- If you haven’t done page 94 in the Teejay books (from Tuesday’s post) you can do that today.
- Or, if you want a little more of a challenge you can choose to play an equation game with decimals by clicking here.
- Or, see if you can figure out why Nrich is so smart by clicking here.
Have a lovely weekend!
Miss Craig
Literacy from Mrs Smyth
Hello P6, well that’s us completed our third week of home learning and first week of the summer term – how time flies!
Today’s Literacy Learning
I am keeping today’s task short as I feel we are still getting back into the routine of learning at home and it is important for us to look after ourselves and each other.
Today I would suggest that you complete your book commercials and your stories. Then relax, get outside if possible and read a good book😊
Thank you to everyone who has sent me their book commercial or story I am enjoying reading them and giving feedback, it helps me to feel connected to you as a class. 😊

STEM from Mr Anderson
Good morning P6. Not only is it Friday today but it is also Sarah’s Birthday. I hope you have the happiest of birthdays and have lots of fun.
Before we find out today’s curriculum area, I would like to thank everyone who took part in my Social Studies challenge this week. The response has been amazing as I received lots of posters and PowerPoints. If you would like to see the collection then click on the today’s P7A blog to check them out.
STEM
Today is STEM Friday so we are going to continue with our Dyson Challenges. I realise not every challenge can be done just now due to ongoing circumstances so you and your family are under no obligation to partake in them. Likewise, there is no rush in completing them all so limit yourself to one challenge each Friday/weekend.
I hope you have an amazing weekend with your family. My plan is to do a big cycle of Edinburgh.
Stay safe,
Mr. Anderson 😊
