Well done to everyone who took part in our House Football competition last week. The event took place at the end of our school picnic at the Meadows, and featured over 40 boys and girls across P5-7 who have been part of our school football programme throughout the year.

This annual competition is always a fun end to the year and it was good to see all the games being played in a friendly atmosphere throughout. It was also great to see all four teams competing well and scoring goals, with almost all the games being very hard fought and competitive to the end.

Here are the final scores – well done to Clerk who won the trophy and congratulations to all the other teams for their efforts on the day, with everyone winning at least one point. This was the first time Clerk had won the trophy and was also the first time has won all three games without conceding a single goal, so it was a well deserved victory!

Thanks to all the pupils who participated, to all the parents and carers who came down to watch and to Mr Durkin, Ms Craig, Mr Anderson and Mr MacLean who stayed behind at the end of the picnic to ensure that everyone was able to take part in this exciting experience.

We are also very grateful to Alex Harkins and his Edinburgh Leisure team at the Meadows Tennis Courts for allowing us to store football equipment there throughout the season, which makes setting up events like this much easier!
