Good morning P7!
Preston Street Primary has long promoted the importance of reading and we believe there is no better way to relax and transport yourself into another world than to ‘Coorie-in’ and read a book together. As you may know, we started our Coorie-in Family Reading initiative in February.
Since lockdown, I have been providing a Coorie-in story every Friday for our P1 and P2 learners. Our teachers have also been sending me their stories which I have been uploading onto our Youtube Channel.
Our P1 and P2 pupils have thoroughly enjoyed seeing the familiar faces. We wondered if there are any P7s out there who would be willing to help us out too?
Here is an example of what we are looking for:
Things to remember:
- Introduce yourself – first name only.
- Share the title and author/illustrator of the book.
- Hold the book facing the camera so the children can look at the pictures.
- The video should be no longer than 5 minutes and the content should be appropriate for a younger pupil.
- Send your completed video to the admin account with the subject ‘P7 Coorie-in video’
You must also receive permission from your parent/carer that they are happy for your video to be published on our Youtube channel.
