Assembly
P1b had their class assembly on Monday afternoon. All of the children were super stars! All of the children who had chosen to speak, shared their learning during the assembly to the large audience. Our picture holders also did a great job. The children have worked really hard in class to learn their parts and to practice the Spanish song. Well done, P1b!
Play
The children have enjoyed visiting the play zones over the week and have been learning lots of new and exciting things through play-based learning, including capacities, making a picnic for 4 people and sorting animals and finding out what animals need.
Maths
The children have finished the block on subtraction and have started learning about shape. Next week we will continue our learning about shape, finding out more about 2D shapes and their properties and we will be learning the names of 3D shapes and will be learning how to find, describe and sort these.
Literacy
We have been continuing our learning of cursive writing and have only 5 letter sounds left to learn next week.
PE
This week we have been developing our volley skills, developing our hand-eye co-ordination and our side stepping skills. We have now come to the end of the primary 1 and 2 basic moves PE programme. We will be starting a block of dance next week.
