Good morning boys, girls, Mum’s and Dad’s, I hope you had a lovely weekend and enjoyed the glorious weather, it’s been amazing! I can’t believe it’s now June, the last month of term before the holidays.
If you are working on ‘Rainbows, Rainbows, Everywhere’ you were to complete the work on page 9 about scanning books/web pages and finding something that you are interested in. The sub headings on page 10 follow this and at the end of page 10 you are given an opportunity to review your sources (web pages/books) on page 11. There is a writing challenge to think about on page 11 and a planning table on page 12 to complete that will help you construct your own writing. This is a cool challenge as it’s all about something you enjoy, know a lot about and maybe even take part in, so please add drawings, photographs, instructions or anything else to your personal writing! Enjoy the activity boys and girls!
Well done if you are working on ‘Journey to the Jungle’. I hope you are enjoying the unit so far. On page 8 the explorer has written a list poem for you to read as the first task. Then you have the opportunity to be as creative as possible and plan a list poem about magical things that you might have in your rucksack if you were the explorer! On page 9 there is a planning table to complete and once you’ve finished that you could write your poem and maybe compliment it with drawings of the items in your rucksack? Have fun!
I hope everyone has been enjoying the tasks on bar graphs, I know they can be tricky but you always had a positive attitude towards challenging tasks when back in class, well done!! I have uploaded an addition grid challenge and you have to find the correct sum within the grid. There are five challenges to choose from with the first answers given in each sheet. Good fun and have a go at a tricky one if you would like a real test of your addition knowledge!!
I have found a fantastic resource on ancient Greece. It’s from the British Museum and each page includes lots of information and an online challenge that lets you design your own Greek temple, explore an ancient Greek shipwreck and numerous other exciting resources, it’s really good, informative and tablet friendly, I hope you can all access the activities, please ask for any assistance in any of the tasks today.
