A few weeks ago, Joseph Drugan and Rebecca Foster from Balfour Beatty emailed me with an opportunity not to be missed. Preston Street Primary had been exclusively chosen as the school to provide artwork for hoarding surrounding the renovation of the North Bridge.
Our name had very kindly been put forward by Jonathan James and Renata Wilson. Jonathan and Renata if you remember were guests of ours back in December during our Engineering topic. (https://prestonstreetprimary.co.uk/2018/12/20/city-of-edinburgh-engineer-visit/)
Edinburgh’s historic North Bridge is undergoing a major programme of refurbishment. A series of structural repairs will help safeguard the long-term use of the Grade A-listed bridge, built in 1896, as a vital city centre link between the Old and New Towns.
Our artwork is currently being displayed underneath the North Bridge on Market Street and P6/7 will visit the location on Wednesday, 26th. However, if you are impatient and would like to see it now, then don’t worry, a photo of our collection can be seen below.
