P1 had a brilliant visit to Gorgie Farm. The children had a tour of the farm and enjoyed seeing all the animals. We learned lots of interesting facts about the animals including what they need to be happy and healthy and also what food we get from animals. They had the chance to pet some of the animals including a snake and a chinchilla!! We were learning about where milk comes from and got to milk a pretend cow! They then worked cooperatively in groups to make butter and had the opportunity to taste the butter with some crackers. At the farm all the children had fun playing in the playpark as well.
