We have had fun learning to play the ukulele and all the children were very resilient when learning a new skill. Watch the video below of p3/4 playing ‘twinkle, twinkle little star’.

In maths we have been learning about money. The children have been learning to recognise, count and add coins and notes, aswell as, give change. They were very creative when making their own items to sell and then took it in turns to buy other items from their peers, using pretend money.

In literacy we have been reading some of the ‘World’s Worst Children’ stories and the children used this to create their own character. They created a character profile, story mountain and setting map and used this to write their own story. They all worked very hard to write imaginative stories, using interesting vocabulary, punctuation and paragraphs. They then edited their work and redrafted their story and drew a book cover to make their own book for our story corner. In grammar lessons we have been learning to use commas in a list.

In topic we have been continuing to learn about types of farms, food chains and made our own butter! In P.E we have enjoyed going to the Meadows to learn to play tennis
