Our P6 year group visited Royal Mile Primary School on Thursday morning for a special Maths Week Scotland themed construction challenge using junk materials.

As you can see, the children worked well together within a short space of time to create a number of interesting and detailed model fairground rides.

The two year groups have enjoyed regular opportunities to get together during P5 and P6 as part of our ‘extended transition’ project which helps to gradually prepare pupils for the transition to high school, where of course they will be placed together with young people from many different schools.

Thanks to Ms Brunner and the staff and pupils at Royal Mile for making us feel so welcome on Thursday, and thanks to our parent helpers Syed, Kama and Aja and our staff members Mrs Smyth,  Miss Arnott, Miss Barbour, and Ms Karnachoriti for taking the group.
