Good morning P7b hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend. The one thing I am enjoying about our lockdown situation is the extra time I have to read. I have been given the gift of time! Time to read all the books you have been recommending along with some that I just liked the sound of the blurb. I finished The Lost Magician by Piers Torday yesterday and I will say not my favourite so far although the ending was good.
As teachers we don’t always get the chance to read as much for enjoyment as we would like during term time, it’s normally during our holidays that we catch up on all the books we have been recommended. But this year I have been inspired by the P6-7’s to always make time to read for enjoyment and so I have been working my way through your recommendations. As many of you know I read at a slow pace, often having to read over sentences more than once to ensure I have understood them properly. The positive about lockdown is I have more time for that and as a result have actually read more books than I would normally. This is an achievement for me and one I am proud of. Thank you to all of you for inspiring me with excellent book recommendations. Don’t forget to let me know on our sharing learning page on Teams of all your achievements since lockdown began. I bet you have loads.
Here is this weeks Home Learning Grid, I am very excited by the talk for writing literacy task this fortnight, check it out on our Teams assignment page.
