Good morning all, I hope you are well and keeping busy.
Thank you to everyone who has managed to get onto Teams, it’s good to see you chatting to each other and asking questions.
With this in mind can I remind you all that Teams is now our virtual classroom and both myself and other teachers can read all of your comments to each other so be respectful and mindful just as you would be if we were in our actual classroom.
To make sure I get to see and answer every ones questions you must put @ before my name so that it notifies me that you are asking a question and need help. You need to use my first and last name so when you type it in the message box it will look like this: @AnnSmyth
Literacy update
Well done to all of you that have managed to look at and begun the literacy task. If you have sent me your work or submitted it through Teams then I will be looking it over today and marking it. The assignments page of Teams allows me to see who has viewed the task and who has not. I know that due to technical glitches not all of you have been able to access the work so for this week I have added the instructions and booklet to todays post and we will try to get it sorted for the next fortnights grid.
I am also putting the link to the grid on this post, remember there are other activities that you can do from the grid that do not need you to access Teams.
You have two weeks to complete the booklet, there is a due date on Teams for you to submit it by. (8th May 2020) This is so you can take your time to work through it and still be able to complete tasks given by other teachers. This is great practice for when you go to high school and have to manage homework expectations from several teachers and subjects.
Instructions from Monday
Good morning everyone, I hope you have had a nice weekend. Over the next fortnight I would like you to work through the attached booklet. This Year 6 work is equivalent to P7 in Scotland. I suggest that today you begin by reading through the booklet at least once just to familiarise yourself with the format and what your being asked to do. All of the reading tasks also have an audio file so that you can listen to them if you prefer.
You can then begin to work through the activities. If you come across anything that you do not understand or are not sure what you are being asked to do then please contact me on the chat page of our class Team and I will answer any questions. Remember if you put @ before my name I will be notified that you have contacted me.

Have a good day
