Our P5-7 running club had a testing but enjoyable training session at the Meadows this week. Pupils participated in interval running (which involves running a set distance then having a short break, before repeating this cycle multiple times). Everyone completed 5 runs of either 200m, 400m or 600m, depending on their experience level. The varied distances ensure that the session is both achievable and challenging for all participants regardless of age or ability.
As you can see, everyone put in a great effort!
We are looking forward to hosting the next race in the Lothian Schools’ Cross Country League on Wednesday 8th March and hope that this training session was good preparation for pupils’ latest challenge!
Thanks as always to Mr MacLean and Miss Arnott for taking the session, and to Ms Craig and our parent volunteers for looking after our separate P4 group.
