We enjoyed our first whole school Sports Day since 2019 last Thursday morning at the Meadows, and it was definitely worth the wait!

The day followed the traditional format which has been in place at Preston Street for a number of years. First, pupils took part in fun races in their house groups, earning points towards the overall House Shield. There were then individual races for P1-4 classes, as well as year group races for P5-7. The day concluded with our annual House Relay, featuring runners from P5-7 representing each house in a thrilling (and noisy!) finale to the event.

Thanks to everyone who helped make Sports Day a great success, including:

• All our teachers and pupil support assistants;
• Our team of parent volunteers who provided invaluable assistance with scoring and supporting pupils;
• All the parents and carers who turned out to spectate and support children;
• Our Community Police Officers, PC Wong and PC McKendrick, who came to help all our pupils get to and from the Meadows safely;
• Our fantastic children and young people who participated so enthusiastically throughout the day.

Well done to our overall winners: Lutton (House Shield) and Oxford (House Relay).
