It’s been a busy two weeks. Hear about some of our activities in the latest episode of our podcast:

P7B Episode 14

We have been practicing orienteering in order to prepare for orienteering championships on June 1st. We did this by following orienteering maps at Bonaly in the Pentlands. The children did an amazing job and enjoyed a picnic lunch after their hunt.

We’ve also been exploring the art work of famous artists including Jackson Pollock, Banksy, Andy Warhol, Van Gogh, and others. In the next few weeks will be using Artificial Intelligence to create art work in the style of a famous artist. Here are our artists at work.

Transition has started for all high schools. The high schools, in particular JGHS, have asked to see some student work in the form of writing. We’ve been tasked with writing the first chapter of a novel that the children will continue to work on next year. We began by doing several idea generating activities that were given to us by the high school. There were some amazing ideas, and we are very much looking forward to reading the stories.

Finally, we were able to participate in an RME Road Show brought to us through Mr Anderson by the Edinburgh Inter Faith association. The children got to learn about a variety of different faiths from representatives. The presentations were very interesting and enjoyable. Thank you, Mr Anderson!
