Primary 7 is beginning to wrap up their final year in primary school. Along with finishing up maths with extensions on multiplication and division and wrapping up literacy with a literacy project on a book of choice, 7s have also been celebrating their end of term and starting to transition to high school. Hear about what we’ve been doing in our latest podcast episode.
We’ve been quite busy outdoors with the nice weather. All of P7 has been fortunate to receive rugby lessons from Boroughmuir Bears player Joe Jenkins. We will get two more sessions with Joe who has taught both students and teachers quite a bit!

Many of the P7s opted to go to the Scottish Schools orienteering championships. Everyone did fantastic, and several won awards for their work. You can see more about the day and the successes here.

It was very exciting to have our annual sports day altogether again. The 7s did amazing and had a lot of fun to boot. Here a few pictures. There are many more to be found here.

A few of the primary 7s also participated in Edinburgh Marathon Festival. For more pictures of the races that day click here.

P7 has been starting transition activities. We visited Meggettland where students participated in a variety of activities like American Football, cricket, and yoga. Students were placed in their high school community groups, so they had a chance to meet students they will be in class with next year. We also spent a day at JGHS meeting teachers and finding out what classes will be like. Those who didn’t go to JGHS had transitions at their school and spent some time helping other classes at Preston Street. We hope all the 7s are excited to start high school next year.
